Enjoy a Saturday afternoon in Inglewood. Class starts at 1:00 and ends at 4:00pm with enough time to grab an early dinner before, or go for some cocktails after.
In this class each participant will have their own prepared slab of clay to work with. You will be able to make a platter out of it, or choose to make plates. How many plates you get from your slab will depend on the size plate you would like to cut out. Each participant will also get a small amount of fresh clay to make a set of 3 pinched sauce dishes.
I will provide you with all the tools, and instructions. The theme of this class is to create pieces featuring botanical designs, but you can decorate your pieces in any way you would like. You may also choose to bring any items you might like to use to create texture or imprints. (Examples - lace, plant clippings, drawings, textured fabrics). I will have a variety of these items also available for you to use.
Once your pieces are fully dry I will bisque fire them, then glaze and fire them a second time. This will take approximately 5-6 weeks to complete as larger flat pieces must be dried very slowly to help minimize the chance of cracking and warping.
**Workshop seats are not refundable, but they are transferrable. If you cannot make your workshop you can sell or gift your ticket away. Just let me know who will be taking your spot in advance of the class.
At checkout you can choose to have your finished pieces shipped to you when ready, or choose to pick up in Auburn Bay SE Calgary.
